A lash artist's perspective on why real mink lashes are not the best option for
perfect lash extensions.
As a lash artist based in NW Portland with over four years of experience, I'm sometimes asked why I don't use real mink lashes for lash extensions. While mink lashes have gained popularity in recent years, there are several reasons why I choose not to use them.

Another reason I prefer synthetic lashes is that they tend to hold their shape better than real mink lashes. Synthetic lashes, on the other hand, are engineered to hold their shape and curl, so they look great for longer.
In addition, synthetic lashes are more hygienic than mink lashes. Real mink lashes come from animals, which means they can carry bacteria and other germs. Synthetic lashes are made in a controlled environment, ensuring they are clean and safe for use on clients.
Finally, synthetic lashes are more affordable than real mink lashes. Mink lashes are often marketed as a luxury product, and as a result, they come with a higher price tag. Synthetic lashes offer the same look and quality as mink lashes but at a fraction of the cost. This makes them a more accessible option for clients who want beautiful lashes without breaking the bank.
To wrap up, while mink lashes may have been popular in the past, there are many reasons why synthetic lashes are a better option.
